We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician. This position will be based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the plant is operational and downtime minimized through preventative maintenance, situational maintenance and equipment upgrades.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure that the plant and warehouse are in proper running order.
  • Minimize / eliminate equipment related downtime.  
  • Maintain process equipment as required.
  • Complete installations of maintenance and capital projects as required.
  • Keep tools and other auxiliary equipment in an orderly and clean condition.
  • Be proactive in identifying and advising on potential safety problems and/or repair.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards (interior & exterior) for plant and site.
  • Provide direction to subcontractors working on site.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and breakdown repairs.

Qualifications: Minimum

  • Good interpersonal skills.  Be able to operate under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Be able to prioritize maintenance requests based on current needs
  • Adapt to a flexible work shifts during peak times and willingly assist other duties as required.
  • Construction millwright or Industrial mechanic

Qualifications: Desirable but not essential as training will be provided

  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Training in Forklift Operation
  • WHMIS
  • 4th Class Stationary Engineering License (preferred)
  • Welding ticket (preferred)
  • Steamfitter/Pipefitter ticket (preferred)
  • Formal training in preventative maintenance is an asset
  • Experience in maintenance techniques, methodology and applications along with two recent years of related experience are an asset.

Health and Safety

  • Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee and promote the Health and Safety in the workplace.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in very hot/very cold work environments.
  • Dusty environment.
  • Ability to work overtime and on-calls during peak season

We are currently looking for a term, with the potential to become a full time permanent employee, Main Line Packaging Worker. This position will be based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick. The rate of pay is $15.00/hour.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the primary purpose of this position is to ensure that all outgoing product is correctly packaged according to specifications.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Weigh, seal, label, stack and wrap finished product.
  • Ensure that products are free of damage, neatly labeled and stacked.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished product and complete appropriate forms.
  • Maintain a safe & clean work area.
  • Operate all equipment applicable to the work area including but not limited to: Sealers, Scales, Hoist, wrapper, pallet jack, Sample machine, Inkjet Printer, conveyor belts, Label Printer and more…         
  • Troubleshoot equipment when problems arise.
  • Other duties as required.

  Qualifications: Minimum

  • Work independently and quickly to meet changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team  
  • The ability to follow instructions / procedures.
  • Ability to perform relevant mathematical calculations
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Qualifications: Desirable but not essential as training will be provided 

  • Training in Forklift Operation
  • Fire extinguisher use
  • Safe lifting techniques
  • Packaging techniques
  • WHMIS
  • Health & Safety training

Working Conditions:

  • Shift Work.
  • Ability to work in very hot/very cold work environments.
  • Dusty environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg repeatedly over a 12 hr. shift.
  • Ability to work overtime

Location:          Based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick

Mobility:           Must be able to drive to work
